Hello everyone, my name is GOOZE (b.1994) living and working in Lisbon, Portugal. My roots stretch from both city ends (Portela de Loures to São Pedro do Estoril) and I grew up in a family that has always been deeply connected to arts and naturally this passion was passed down to me. From a young age I developed the habit of scribbling on any paper I could get my hands on - from loose sheets to notebooks to school manuals. Nowadays I constantly carry a sketchbook with me. Despite my interest in illustration and painting, my academic path took me to Caldas da Rainha where I graduated in Industrial Design, at ESAD CR (PORTUGAL). Growing up I was a big fan of classic cartoons, particularly Cartoon Network, which has been a major source of inspiration for my work. Eventually this evolved to my interest in surreal and psychedelic themes, which can be seen in my art alongside all the other influences I absorb from my surroundings. As an artist I have been working in multiple projects from which I highlight Alto Burgers Lisboa (Burger Joint), Cais do Gás Mural (Tokyo Lisboa) and joined in previous exhibitions such as IM.PAL.PÁ.VEL (PORTO) and FIELDTRIP (LISBOA).
